If you wanted to go to St. Louis for an away match, I've got some bad news. Voters failed a measure to publicly fund a portion of the new soccer stadium, effectively killing the expansion bid. Oh and they passed a sales tax raise to a measly 9.17%.
The rejection in STL is good news for fans of a potential San Diego franchise, though they'll need to get the public to vote as well for public funding but instead of sales tax, via a hotel tax. The worst part, it's not till November so now we wait.
