OL Reign announced today that head coach Laura Harvey’s contract has been extended through the 2023 season. Since her return to the club in August, the Reign have gone 7-2-2 and climbed up the standings, finishing the regular season in second place and earning a first-round playoff bye after being as low as ninth for several weeks in June and July.
“I think just getting the players to believe in something was key,” said Harvey in a team release. “Getting them to believe in themselves and what they could achieve as a group was important. Obviously, huge credit to Sam [Assistant Coach/interim head coach Sam Laity].
