LA Galaxy starting goalkeeper Clement Diop’s status for Sunday’s match against the Seattle Sounders (1 p.m. PT; ESPN, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM) is questionable, according to LAGalaxy.com.
Diop, 23, injured his hip in last week’s 2-1 loss to Orlando City SC after a collision with Giles Barnes in the second half. Diop remained in the match.
“He’s struggling. He was a warrior, and he fought through the injury. It swelled up on him pretty bad. It was his hip. He was barely able to board the plane,” Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo told reporters on Monday.
