The Seattle Sounders and forward Jordan Morris are each nominated for the 82nd annual MTRWestern Sports Star of the Year Awards.
Morris joins University of Washington quarterback Jake Browning, Mariners outfielder Nelson Cruz, Washington State wide receiver Gabe Marks and Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner in the Male Sports Star of the Year category.
Morris led Stanford to the NCAA College Cup at the end of 2016 before signing with the Sounders, earning Rookie of the Year honors and leading Seattle to its first MLS Cup title.
For their remarkable comeback to win MLS Cup, the Sounders are up for Sports Story of the Year.
