Jordan Morris enjoys an afternoon at the ballpark

Jordan Morris is pretty accustomed the accolades by now. He’s scored a goal for the United States national team, claimed a college national title, won the Hermann trophy and could very well be named the MLS Rookie of the Year. But for a kid from Mercer Island, throwing out the first pitch at Wednesday’s Seattle Mariners game was still somewhat surreal.

"It's crazy. Being at these games when I was younger and watching people throw the first pitch," Morris told SoundersFC.com. "I never really thought I'd be in that position."

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Morris didn’t let the moment get to him and still managed to get it over the plate while throwing from the top of the mound.
