Even though the Seattle Sounders don’t have a competitive match until next Friday, a handful of injury concerns from last weekend’s match against New York Red Bulls are worth monitoring during the week off.
Jordan Morris, who pulled up with an ankle injury in the first half, was evaluated by US Soccer medical staff in San Jose. Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer said on Wednesday that Morris had an MRI on his ankle, but that it was “nothing major, an ankle sprain.” He didn’t report any more information, and said that he had not been told whether or not Morris would be available or selected in the USMNT’s match against Honduras on Friday.
