Former Seattle Sounders forward Fredy Montero thanked the Sounders organization and its fans on Twitter on Friday, just two days after signing with Cascadia rival the Vancouver Whitecaps on a year-long loan from Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda.
“And it is fitting for me to say a special ‘Thank You’ to Seattle Sounders FC for the incredible faith they showed in me when they originally brought me to MLS, the support I got when I was there and relationships we have enjoyed for the last eight years,” Montero wrote. “I have always loved the fans and the city of Seattle.
