Every Sounder but Clint Dempsey is expected to be available for Sunday’s match at the L.A. Galaxy, which, while expected, is still a weighty caveat. Defenders Brad Evans and Joevin Jones, though, both sound like they’ll be good to go.
Evans, who has been recovering from back and calf injuries, and Jones, who is apparently dealing with a toe issue, were limited in practice throughout this week. But interim head coach Brian Schmetzer said Friday that Evans is “available for selection” and that Jones “is playing” despite leaving the training session early.
Dempsey, meanwhile, has been absent from the team portion of practice all week in Tukwila, and there has been no indication from the club that he’s been cleared to play even if he were around.
