DeAndre Yedlin gets first USMNT call-up since 2019

For a variety of reasons, DeAndre Yedlin has not made a USMNT appearance since November 2019. That is poised to change soon. The former Seattle Sounders fullback was one of 27 players called into a Europe-based training camp that will also feature a friendly against Switzerland on May 30, and will serve as an early start for the Concacaf Nations League finals that start on June 3.

Yedlin enters the camp as the most-capped player (62) on this USMNT roster and at one point seemed a shoo-in for reaching 100 international caps. But a combination of injuries and uncertainty surrounding his club play have left his national team future far more in doubt.
