Cristian Roldan scores twice as Sounders drub San Jose Earthquakes

Cristian Roldan has taken his game to another level since returning from national-team duty and the suddenly explosive Sounders are reaping the spoils.

Roldan scored two goals less than two minutes apart early in the second half Sunday night to key a 3-0 Sounders win over the visiting San Jose Earthquakes. For Roldan, the fastest two goals by one player in Sounders franchise history gave him three in two games since returning from early round CONCACAF Gold Cup action with the U.S. men’s national team last week.

Kelvin Leerdam completed the second-half eruption by the Sounders, converting a Joevin Jones corner kick in the 65th minute.
