Seattle went on the road, on short rest, with an injured team, to play the New York Red Bulls, one of the best teams in the league and one that’s completely healthy. The difference showed as New York could have amassed an early lead and dominated for long stretches. They didn’t put Seattle away, however, and the Sounders nearly stole points late before succumbing 1-2.
