UPDATE: Nicolas Lodeiro was a late call-up to the Uruguay team after Giorgian De Arrascaeta suffered an injury. Uruguay will play Mexico on Friday.
Cristian Roldan became the fifth Seattle Sounders player to be called up during the upcoming FIFA window when he was named to the United States national team roster on Sunday. The USMNT will play Brazil on Sept. 7 and Mexico on Sept. 11.
Roldan will join Raúl Ruidíaz (Peru), Roman Torres (Panama), Jordy Delem (Martinique) and Gustav Svensson (Sweden) on international duty next week.
