The accolades keep coming for Seattle Sounders defender Román Torres.
CONCACAF on Tuesday named the Panamanian captain to its 2017 Male Best XI. Torres played in 23 matches for the Sounders, anchoring one of the league’s best defenses and helping Seattle return to MLS Cup. He also scored Panama’s game-winning goal against Costa Rica in the final round of the Hexagonal to send Los Canaleros to their first FIFA World Cup appearance.
