Less than 10 minutes after the Sounders’ opening goal, Seattle again punished Minnesota United’s defense when Gustav Svensson picked up a short corner from Nicolas Lodeiro and fired it into the United box. Chad Marshall headed it towards the penalty spot, and Clint Dempsey headed it in after a perfectly timed run.
