The mood in the Seattle Sounders’ locker room was not one of celebration or even relief. Rather, it looked like a team that had accomplished the first step of what they hope is a longer journey.
After giving Zach Scott one more congratulation, Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer immediately turned the focus to what’s next: Getting ready for Thursday’s Knockout Round playoff game against Sporting Kansas City.
Sadly, there doesn’t appear to have been any dancing, but that might be because they are saving it for something truly special.
Maybe it was foreshadowing as he invited Osvaldo Alonso to share a final message: “We’re not finished, yet.
