On Monday Night Football, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers needed a 4th quarter comeback and a Mason Crosby field goal as time expired to beat the banged up, CJ Beathard-led San Francisco 49ers in a 33-30 thriller.
One of the most important plays on Rodgers’ game-winning drive was not courtesy of Aaron, but former Seattle Seahawks superstar Richard Sherman, who had spent the entire night not even being thrown at.
Facing with a 3rd and 15 deep in their own territory, with the 49ers possessing all three timeouts and less than a minute to go, Rodgers was sacked by DeForest Buckner, opening the door for CJ Beathard to atone for his interception on the previous possession, and perhaps get San Francisco a stunning win at Lambeau Field.
