SEATTLE -- At least in the short term, the Seattle Seahawks might need a new backup plan at quarterback in light of the ankle injury that Tarvaris Jackson sustained in Friday night's preseason opener.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said following the Seahawks' 22-20 loss to the Denver Broncos that Jackson's injury is a sprain and not a break. He estimated that it could keep Jackson out for two weeks.
