Source: Free agent FB Coleman suspended

Free agent fullback Derrick Coleman, who spent parts of the 2012-15 NFL seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, has been suspended for the next four weeks of the NFL season, according to a league source.

Coleman was suspended temporarily by the team during the 2015 season amid an investigation following a charge of hit and run stemming from an incident that took place earlier that month. On October 6, 2016, Coleman pleaded guilty to vehicular assault and hit and run.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 14, 2016 and faces up to 12-to-14 months in jail.
