Seattle Seahawks injury update: Turbin out with “significant” ankle injury

Pete Carroll’s presser on Tuesday provided us with an injury update on the Seattle Seahawks. There were some definite highlights that need to be passed along.

The biggest news is that Robert Turbin, the team’s 3rd down and 2-minute drill back, has high ankle sprain and will miss considerable time. This explains why the Seahawks are bringing in veteran Fred Jackson.

Pete Carroll called Turbin’s injury “significant.” This is clearly different than when he calls injuries “legit.” I just have no idea what the difference is.

Turbin’s injury typically has a 6-8 week recovery time.
