Seahawks waive Demetrius Knox to make room for Carlos Hyde

The Seattle Seahawks have made the signing of Carlos Hyde official, as the team has completed its search for a veteran running back. It’s a reported one-year deal worth up to $4 million, but exact details will probably be known at a later date.

Of course, to make room for Hyde the team needed to make a corresponding move on the 90-man roster. Former Ohio State guard Demetrius Knox was waived, leaving the Seahawks with only 174 offensive linemen on the roster.

Knox was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and did play in the preseason.
