Seattle Times staff reporter Bob Condotta breaks down Sunday’s game in Minneapolis.
Putting an APB on AP
Football games rarely have one deciding factor so clear-cut as this one does. But this game likely will come down to whether the Seahawks can contain Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who is averaging 105.8 yards per game. Peterson has rushed for 98 or more yards in seven of Minnesota’s eight wins. In two of Minnesota’s three losses he was held to 45 or fewer and 81 in the other. Take out Peterson, and the Vikings would have to depend on a passing attack that ranks 31st in the NFL.
