Picking on Palmer
Two years after leading the NFL with 28 interceptions, the Seahawks have just three at the midway point of the season. One reason, players and coaches say, is an increased reluctance of opponents to test them deep. That might not be an issue against the Cardinals, who lead the NFL in yards per pass attempt at almost 9.2, roughly a half-yard more than any other team (the Cardinals also lead in yards per reception at 14.2). Arizona QB Carson Palmer is having maybe his best year at age 35 but he has thrown a few untimely interceptions and has six overall.
