The Seattle Seahawks recently got some promising news in that edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu began some non-contact drills and has been medically cleared to get back to playing football. Head coach Mike Macdonald has been mum on whether Nwosu will play in Week 1 versus the San Francisco 49ers, though.
The truth is that the team probably doesn't know if Nwosu's surgically repaired knee is quite ready to hold up against the punishment of the NFL. There is no need to rush him back.
Due to Nwosu's injury, the free agent signing of former Dallas Cowboys edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence is looking even better.
