Seahawks sign 6 players to future contracts

Now that the Seahawks’ season is over, the 53-man roster has ballooned back up to 90, with players on the injured reserve reverting to the roster and the practice squad no more. Seattle is able to sign players to future contracts and will do so over the next couple months until the new league year begins.

The first order of business with future contracts is generally those who were on the practice squad, and the Seahawks did just that on Tuesday. Those signed to future contracts were WR Penny Hart, EDGE Sutton Smith, CB Brian Allen, EDGE Shakir Soto, WR Cody Thompson and LB Pita Taumoepenu.
