Seahawks reportedly take a look at free agent DT Nick Hayden

According to multiple reports, the Seahawks have gotten a visit from free agent defensive tackle Nick Hayden, a starter for the Dallas Cowboys the last three seasons.

Hayden played for the veteran minimum of $745,000 last season and likely would again come with a cheap, low-risk deal for Seattle. If signed, he could help fill the void created by the loss of Brandon Mebane to the Chargers as well as possibly play some three-technique defensive tackle.

The 30-year-old from Wisconsin also played three years with Carolina and another with Cincinnati.

The Seahawks also signed Sealver Siliga in March to help replace Mebane and Seattle has been thought likely also to look to draft a defensive lineman with at least one of the nine picks it has in this week’s NFL draft.
