Seahawks re-sign special teams standout Neiko Thorpe

Just a day after it was reported that Neiko Thorpe had visited the Buffalo Bills, it turns out that the veteran special teams standout will remain with the Seattle Seahawks entering the 2019 season.

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times confirmed the good news on Saturday.

Can confirm the reports that Neiko Thorpe has re-signed with Seahawks. Was a special teams co-captain last season. Leaves just 2 of Seattle's 13 UFAs unsigned --- Sebastian Janikowski and Dion Jordan.

While the Seahawks special teams as a whole has not been good over the past few seasons, Thorpe has been a brilliant gunner who has been with Seattle since 2016.
