Well it’s finally over.
The Seattle Seahawks (3-1) wrapped up 2019 NFL preseason with a 17-15 win over the Oakland Raiders (3-1) on a rainy Thursday night at CenturyLink Field. As expected, starters were non-existent on the offense and defenses of both teams. Next up for the Seahawks (and everyone else): Roster cuts. That’s coming up on August 31st, and many of the players who were on the field tonight will get the dreaded news over the next couple of days, while others will get confirmation that they’ve made the 53-man roster.
Geno Smith (4/7 for 102 yards, 2 TDs) wasted no time getting the Seahawks on the board, as he capped off a 5-play, 73-yard drive with a 39-yard deep ball touchdown to Terry Wright.
