As an organization, the Seahawks have responded strongly over the last several weeks following the murder of George Floyd and protests against racial injustice across the country.
Seattle issued a statement condemning Floyd’s murder and pledged $500,000 in grants from the Seahawks Players Equality & Justice for All Action Fund.
Pete Carroll issued his own statement, titled “Where Do We Go From Here,” calling for empathy within our communities.
Privately and publicly, the team has taken action. Over the weekend, the wives of two former and current Seahawks helped to create further public action.
