The Seattle Seahawks have been as good as projected defensively when fully healthy. The team has been mostly great, even when not, and it's been a bit since Seattle had all of its starters. Safety Julian Love, for instance, hasn't played since Week 4 and had even missed a game before that.
Now, the Seahawks are without another key starter for at least a month, only the move is surprising. Defensive tackle Jarran Reed, a player who consistently gets pressure on opposing quarterbacks, was placed on injured reserve and will miss at least the next four games, starting with Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals.
