Shaq is back.
Following last week’s report that 2017 third-round pick Shaquill Griffin was returning to the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced the reunion on Wednesday. Griffin agreed to a reported one-year, $3 million contract with the potential for that number to be boosted to $4 million (presumably through incentives).
After completing his rookie contract in 2020, Griffin signed a three-year contract in free agency with the Jacksonville Jaguars, bringing him back to his home state of Florida. He was let go after the 2022 season and bounced around the league with the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans, and most recently the Minnesota Vikings, where he had his best season since his Seahawks departure.
