RENTON -- Jeremy Lane hasn't played since Oct. 1 and judging by his social media posts Tuesday night he's going to have to outperform his teammates if he wants to play at his usual starting spot again.
The Seahawks cornerback tweeted: "How I get bench on a day off!! (Expletive) ridiculous." He posted the same comments on Instagram, adding, "Because they like the flow. #bs"
That suggested Lane, battling a groin injury suffered on the first defensive series against the Colts, has been surpassed on the depth chart by rookie Shaquill Griffin and Justin Coleman. The former has started in Lane's place at right cornerback and the latter at nickel, and it sounds as if they'll continue to do so even if Lane is cleared to play this Sunday at home against the Texans.
