Seahawks injury update: Ziggy Ansah, Mike Iupati suffer setbacks

It’s the day before the day before (a meaningless preseason game), and Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was unfortunately the bearer of bad news on the injury front.

Carroll spoke with media after Friday’s practice, and among the things he addressed was the respective setbacks for DE Ziggy Ansah and G Mike Iupati. Ansah, who’s months removed from from shoulder surgery, hurt his groin in workouts earlier in the week. He did add that it won’t necessarily prevent him from being able to play Week 1, but all signs prior to this injury were pointing to him definitely being available against the Cincinnati Bengals.
