Russell Wilson will always matter to many Seattle Seahawks fans, and he should. He led the offense when the team won its first Super Bowl. He was the most productive quarterback in franchise history. And the way he left will leave a sour taste in many mouths.
This is why Wilson always stays interesting to 12s. Some were ready to move on quickly from him, but for all the emotions (good and bad) that Wilson was able to draw out, for most there was no easy letting go. There never will be.
Some hope he does well, of course.
