Seahawks great Matt Hasselbeck hired as ESPN college football game analyst

Matt Hasselbeck may not have gotten the part as in-game analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Football, but the former Seattle Seahawks quarterback’s voice will be heard in primetime at the collegiate level.

Earlier this week, ESPN announced that Hasselbeck will join play-by-play man Adam Amin and sideline reporter Molly McGrath for the network’s Thursday Night Football lineup of college football games. No word yet on his first assignment, although August 29th features UCLA at Cincinnati and Utah at BYU, so he might be one on of those two matchups.

Hasselbeck was best known for leading the Seahawks to the NFC Championship in 2005, leading the team to a great run of success as a perennial playoff team from 2003-2007.
