Training camp is the place to make the most out of a bad situation. It’s unfortunate that Seattle Seahawks running back Kenny McIntosh has been lost for the season with a torn ACL, but the business of the NFL is always next man up. With more reps and a stronger chance at nabbing the RB3 spot, seventh-round pick Damien Martinez must take advantage.
So far, he’s done that. Monday’s practice was an opportunity for him to show what he can do with the pads on as a bruising runner. Still, with Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet at the top of the depth chart, touches will be hard to come by without something extra to lean on.
