Seahawks DE Michael Bennett blames latest fight on dirty play

RENTON -- A day after their fight marred Sunday's practice, Seahawks teammates Michael Bennett and Bradley Sowell each said they'd moved on from the incident.

Speaking with reporters after Monday's practice at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, Bennett maintained that summer scuffles were simply part of the game.

"There's fights everywhere," Bennett said. "It's a whole bunch of alpha males running around here. Everybody wants to drop their nuts, and at the end of the day we're all fighting for a spot."

Sowell -- the team's starting left tackle for the last two weeks after signing with the Seahawks as an unrestricted free agent in March -- chalked the scrap up to Seattle's ultra-competitive practice environment.
