It seems that Aldon Smith’s off-field issues have caught up with him once again.
On Tuesday night, Smith turned himself in to the St. Bernard’s Parish Sheriff near New Orleans after an arrest warrant citing his connection with an alleged assault was issued Monday. The warrant alleges that Smith choked the victim, who was rendered unconscious but has since recovered.
The arrest comes as the latest incident in a long line of off-field issues, which have derailed Smith’s career. Smith has been implicated in a number of DUI cases, and has been in and out of rehab.
