Seahawks and Bears met in Fargo; trade talks thrown in the wood chipper

Ryan Pace, the general manager of the Chicago Bears, was desperate for a quarterback. Traveling to Fargo, North Dakota under the pretense of attending the Pro Day for North Dakota State University, Pace’s actual intentions lay elsewhere.

He would meet with another general manager, John Schneider, where he would devise a plan to kidnap the quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks and then demand 3 first-round picks, a third-round pick and two starting players as ransom.

The two went home and slept on the idea, however, Schneider’s overlord, Pete Carroll, had no intentions to rebuild his team and search for a new quarterback.
