Sanjay Lal leaving Seahawks after a single season

Following an abrupt end to their 2020 season, the Seattle Seahawks decided to make a change at offensive coordinator, replacing Brian Schottenheimer with Shane Waldron. Waldron joins the Hawks from the division rival Los Angeles Rams, where in four seasons with the Rams he served in a variety of different roles on the coaching staff, including as the tight ends coach, the passing game coordinator and the quarterbacks coach.

In Seattle Waldron will be tasked with building the offense for Russell Wilson, but before that duty becomes a reality, the first step is to fully assemble an offensive coaching staff.
