When Cam Newton signed a lucrative contract extension recently with the Carolina Panthers, many fans of the Seattle Seahawks were hopeful Russell Wilson would be on deck. Regrettably, that appears to be far from the case.
In a media session on Tuesday, Wilson gave his best effort to avoid any discussion regarding his contract negotiations. Of course, the media was relentless as usual.
When asked about his future with the Seahawks, Wilson had the following response:
“I hope that it’s here and I hope that it’s here for a long time and hopefully I get to wear the Seahawks blue and number three for a long time,” Wilson said, according to CBS Sports.
