Undrafted rookie free agent running back Troymaine Pope has been a pleasant surprise so far, though he knows the road to making Seattle's roster remains long.
Before the Seahawks took the field for their second preseason game Thursday against the Minnesota Vikings, rookie running back Troymaine Pope received a call from his 3-year old daughter Cassidy in Anniston, Ala.
“She told me she wants a playroom full of toys,’’ Pope said. “So I’m trying to get it for her.’’
Pope then took the field and took his biggest step yet toward making a name for himself in the NFL by rushing for 86 yards on 10 carries, all in the second half as the Seahawks rallied before losing to the Vikings, 18-11.
