In the build up to the 2019 NFL Draft, Jachai Polite was a polarizing figure who performed horribly at the combine and pre-draft workouts after leaving the University of Florida early for the draft and after being mocked as high as third overall, fell all the way to the third round. Perhaps even more surprisingly, between whatever the issues that caused him to fall in the draft, the discord in the front office of the New York Jets and the change in control over the roster between April and now, Polite was waived on Saturday.
