Report: Seahawks add to secondary, agreeing to sign cornerback Jamar Taylor

The Seahawks have made another quick move as NFL free agency has entered a new phase, agreeing to sign veteran cornerback Jamar Taylor, according to the NFL Network, the league’s flagship station.

The 5-11, 192-pounder figures to step into the competition at the nickel cornerback position, or the inside cornerback defending the slot, a spot where Seattle last year used Justin Coleman, who signed with the Lions in free agency.

Taylor, who will turn 29 on Sept. 29, played at Boise State and was a second-round pick of the Dolphins in 2013. He has 41 career starts, most with the Browns — 27 in the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
