Marshawn Lynch, Shaun Alexander among nominees for College Football Hall of Fame

Three Seattle Seahawks legends and a current Seahawks coach are on the nomination ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame.

California’s Marshawn Lynch, Alabama’s Shaun Alexander, Michigan’s Steve Hutchinson, and UCLA’s Ken Norton Jr are among the 78 players on the FBS portion of the ballot. Three other former Seahawks — really, passers by who had no more than one season on the team — are also on this list: Levon Kirkland (Clemson), Dwight Freeney (Syracuse), and Peter Warrick (Florida State).

This was Lynch’s first nomination for the college HOF, and we can only hope that we’ll be seeing him get nominations for the Pro Football HOF in a few years once he’s eligible.
