John Schneider's handwritten note helped Seahawks land Doug Baldwin

Every weekday morning, we'll round up local and national Seattle Seahawks-related links.

Sports Illustrated's Greg Bishop unveiled the hand-written letter GM John Schneider sent to Doug Baldwin when Baldwin was an undrafted free agent:

"I attended your Arizona State game (nice deep ball adjust by the way) and came away extremely impressed," Schneider wrote. "We had you as a draftable player and although we drafted a 6-5 receiver in Kris Durham earlier in the draft, we feel strongly that you could develop into a unique contributor with your specific skill set."

Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times caught up with wide receiver Tanner McEvoy:

But McEvoy also knows that as much fun as it was, it was just one play, one that also came against a Kansas City defense that in that situation was stocked with players like him — unproven players trying to make a name for themselves.
