Jeremy Lane, Bradley McDougald among Seahawks camp standouts

RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks wrapped up their second training camp practice Monday. Here are some observations on what stood out.

Jeremy Lane appears to be stepping up.

Lane played nickel last season and had a down year. But with DeShawn Shead (knee) sidelined, Lane is in the driver's seat to start at right cornerback, and he's had a strong start to camp.

Early on, he stuck with wide receiver Kasen Williams down the left sideline. On a 50/50 ball from Russell Wilson, Lane out-jumped Williams and batted the ball back towards the field of play.
