Grading the Seahawks pick of Ugo Amadi from Oregon

The Seahawks know they have a stud safety in Bradley McDougald. But they might still not have a lot of faith in Tedric Thompson or Delano Hill in the safety opposite McDougald. In the fourth round this year, Seattle chose Ugo Amadi in hopes he might be a long-term starter in Seattle.

Amadi isn’t big at just five-foot-nine-inches and he isn’t fast. He doesn’t seem to be either Earl Thomas or Kam Chancellor. NFL.com isn’t sold on Amadi becoming a long-term starter in the NFL either. So why did Seattle choose him in the fourth round?
