Eagles star corner Darius Slay out for Seahawks game

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without star cornerback Darius Slay for Monday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. Slay, a 2017 All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection, underwent arthroscopic knee surgery earlier in the week, which explains why he wasn’t at practice. It looks like Slay will return before the end of the regular season, so it’s not a long-term blow to a struggling Eagles defense.

Philadelphia’s secondary has not played at a particularly high level this season. While the Eagles still have 2022 All-Pro second-team selection James Bradberry, there’s a lot of inexperience below Slay on the depth chart.
