Dion Jordan weighs 280 pounds, will play defensive line for Seahawks

When the Seattle Seahawks signed Dion Jordan last month, the immediate thought was that he might be able to fill the Bruce Irvin role: someone who could play strongside linebacker in base and slide up to right defensive end in sub packages.

But Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Saturday that's not the case. Jordan now weighs 280 pounds (up 32 pounds from when he was drafted in 2013) and will be a defensive lineman for the Seahawks.
