Darrell Bevell: B.J. Daniels "primarily a receiver" for Seahawks heading into camp

Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell confirmed today that quarterback B.J. Daniels is now being used primarily as a receiver in the Seahawks offense. We'd periodically seen pictures of Daniels (sans the red quarterback 'no contact' jersey) running routes over the last six months or so, so this isn't a huge surprise. Now that Russell Wilson is back in action after missing most of the first week of OTAs, Daniels has given up that red jersey and transitioned to the wing as a receiver.

Daniels, who has spent time on the Seahawks active roster and practice squad over the past few years, is a very good athlete and was a big-time playmaker at quarterback for South Florida in his college days, both running and throwing.
